After I deleted them, the game started working. I deleted the following files: leclogo.bik, ObsidianEnt.bik, and Legal.bik. I then found another source that recommended deleting the intro videos to the game to resolve the game crash issue. exe file and running it in Windows XP SP3 Compatibility mode.
